After modern researches and studies, depression is not categorized just as a psychological state; it is now categorized as a serious medical illness. People going through depression must keep themselves close to nature. They should do things like take a light walk in fresh air and go and sit in a park with good company. It will help them to return to their normal life more easily. People around a person suffering from depression must make him feel important in their lives. They should ask him for advice on things and let him make decisions. The feeling of being important will do well for him and help him return to normal life.
It helps to change the environment of the person suffering from depression. Surroundings have a great impact on person’s mind. They might not be able to adjust themselves in the new environment right away, so it is important to change it for a while or at least up to the time they start to feel normal. They must be taken out to some holiday, well away from work, worries and financial woes. They should also improve their eating habits. Give them food with more Vitamin A and D. Try to improve their sleeping patterns too. A little effort from you can bring a person back to his normal life, but a little negligence can trigger them to suicide.
